At DiLusso, every aspect of the program is approached with intention — from health testing and pedigree selection to structure, soundness, early development, and temperament evaluation. My goal is to preserve the integrity of the Chihuahua breed while raising confident, healthy, athletic, and well-adjusted companions capable of thriving both in and beyond the show ring.
Cardiac evaluations help assess heart health and reduce the likelihood of passing on hereditary cardiac conditions that may affect long-term wellness and physical soundness.
Eye examinations performed by ACVO specialists help screen for inherited ocular conditions that can impact vision and overall eye health.
Patellar evaluations help assess proper knee structure and reduce the likelihood of hereditary patellar luxation, a condition that may affect mobility and comfort.
EARLY DEVELOPMENT & SOCIALIZATION
Early puppyhood is a formative time for building confidence, adaptability, and trust. Puppies are thoughtfully introduced to a variety of age-appropriate experiences designed to encourage curiosity, resilience, and positive engagement with the world around them.
From daily handling and household exposure to grooming foundations and early training exercises, each puppy receives individualized attention throughout important developmental stages.
Because the program is intentionally small, I am able to dedicate meaningful time to observing temperament, encouraging confidence, and supporting each puppy’s unique development.
